The Albanese and Crisafulli governments have reached another milestone in fixing the Bruce Highway, with upgrades now completed on two bridges near Benaraby, south of Gladstone.
The Station Creek and Boyne River bridges underwent critical upgrades to improve safety as part of the jointly funded Bruce Highway Upgrade Program.
The works included concrete and steel repairs, cracked deck repairs and barrier repairs to improve the structural integrity of the bridges.
The works were jointly funded, with the Australian Government contributing $11.04 million and the Queensland Government contributing $2.76 million.
