Beverly Hills Mural Celebrates Community and Creativity

Georges River Council

Georges River Council is proud to unveil a new mural at the Beverly Hills Creative Studio in Merv Lynch Reserve.

Titled Nature's Dance, it was painted by Patrick Hunter, also known as InkHunter. Developed by ideas from community workshops at the studio, participants were inspired by the natural surrounds of the space. They explored their senses through colour, texture and imagination. The design was based on this shared community experience. It included rubbings of leaves and interpretations of bird calls.

InkHunter said, "This approach means the final artwork is a direct reflection of the Georges River community's imagination and creativity.

"This project aims to highlight the Beverly Hills Creative Studio as a place where creativity is sparked by the senses and shared by the community. The mural stands as a vibrant and welcoming marker for the space, and a celebration of the many ways people express themselves."

InkHunter is a Sydney-based mural artist who has been creating large-scale murals, installations, and artworks for a decade. His mission is to create art that encourages people to connect with nature and leave our planet better than how we found it.

Georges River Council Mayor Elise Borg said, "Beverly Hills Creative Studio is a wonderful example of how shared creative spaces can unite our community. It provides a welcoming environment where people can explore their creativity, connect with others and express themselves through art.

"Nature's Dance is a vibrant reflection of that collaboration. It captures the imagination and contributions of our local community. Council is proud to support projects and spaces that encourage creativity, storytelling and meaningful connection."

The Beverly Hills Creative Studio is a creative studio space available for short term hire. The studio may be hired for individual or small group art making, workshops, meetings, and creative pursuits. It is located in Merv Lynch Reserve, Beverly Hills.
