Bicycle crash in Gooseberry Hill, WA

Traffic Enforcement Group officers are investigating a bicycle crash that occurred in Gooseberry Hill at about 2pm yesterday, Thursday 20 April 2017.

A man was riding his mountain bicycle along several streets in Gooseberry Hill before riding on the footpath from the intersection of Gooseberry Hill Road and Healey Place, WA Police say.

The man was wearing a baseball cap and not a bicycle helmet. As he rode fast along Gooseberry Hill Road he rode into a wooden power pole.

The 24 year old man from Gooseberry Hill received serious head injuries and was taken by ambulance to Royal Perth Hospital.

Investigators would like to speak to anyone who may have seen the crash or the man riding his grey and black coloured Haro Escape brand mountain bike in Gooseberry Hill prior to the crash.
