Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken spoke today with German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock, Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani, UK Foreign Secretary James Cleverly, and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs Josep Borrell. They discussed the unprecedented scale and brutality of the Hamas attacks on Israeli territory, which they condemned in the strongest terms. The Secretary underlined the United States' support for Israel's right to defend itself and encouraged continued engagement by Quint countries and the EU.
