Blinken Discusses with UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah 23 November

Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken spoke today with Foreign Minister of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The Secretary welcomed today's deal to release at least 50 hostages and reaffirmed the importance of urgently addressing humanitarian needs in Gaza and preventing further spread of the conflict. Secretary Blinken underscored that the United States remains committed to the establishment of a Palestinian state. The Secretary and Sheikh Abdullah discussed the importance of ending the conflict in Sudan and preventing further widespread civilian harm. They affirmed our shared commitment to building a more secure and prosperous region and affirmed the importance of the strategic partnership between the United States and the United Arab Emirates.
