Body found after campervan fire at Emu Plains

A crime scene has been established following the discovery of a body in a campervan destroyed by fire at Emu Plains this morning.

Firefighters were called to Dukes Oval on Lawson Street shortly after midnight (Tuesday 18 August 2020), to find the campervan well-alight.

Once the fire was extinguished the body was found inside.

An investigation is now underway into the cause of the fire by officers attached to Nepean Police Area Command.

A post-mortem examination will be conducted to confirm identity and cause of death.
