Body located in search for missing man at Maclean

The body of a man missing in the Clarence Valley region has been located.

A 75-year-old man was reported missing to Coffs/Clarence Police District last Monday (11 October 2021), who commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Several searches were conducted on land and in the Clarence River at Maclean in the following days.

About 10.50am yesterday (Tuesday 19 October 2021), police divers and officers from the Marine Area Command located a silver Subaru XV in the Clarence River, where they located the body of the 75-year-old man inside.

The vehicle was removed and towed for forensic testing.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
