We are delighted that Monash Council's extension of Bogong Car Park in Glen Waverley re-opened to the community this morning, Wednesday 16 April.

This $40m+ project has added more than 500 new car parking spaces across four floors, increasing the total capacity to more than 1,000 free parking spaces.

Monash Mayor, Cr Paul Klisaris, expressed his gratitude to the community, especially Glen Waverley businesses, for their patience during construction.

"We understand that construction is disruptive, and I thank everyone for their understanding and cooperation while we worked to deliver 1,000+ car parking spaces for the busy Glen Waverley precinct," Cr Klisaris said.

"I'm delighted that we've completed the project in time for Easter and Mother's Day – making it easier for people looking to celebrate these events at one of the many incredible places to eat, drink and gather in Glen Waverley.

"Bogong Car Park is right in the heart of Glen Waverley and just a short walk to our iconic Kingsway, this investment by Council means that people will be able to reliably find a car park when visiting the precinct."

The car park extension includes:

  • A new building facade featuring public art and specialist lighting
  • Improved lifts
  • Two EV charging bays with future expansion capabilities
  • Smart parking assistance and wayfinding signage
  • A PV solar system to help power the building's services.

Please be aware of the parking restrictions when using the Bogong Car Park as they vary across different levels and observe signage for minor rectification works over the next six weeks in specific areas of the car park.
