Hampton Park Bowls Club is celebrating its new home with the official opening of its upgraded facilities.
On Thursday 21 August, City of Casey Mayor Stefan Koomen and Deputy Mayor Melinda Ambros were joined by Member for Narre Warren South, Gary Maas MP to officially open the upgraded facility.
Hampton Park Bowls Club has long played a vital role in the local community, providing opportunities for people to stay active, connect socially, and build lasting friendships. The upgraded facilities will support the club's continued growth and ability to welcome new members.
Mayor Cr Stefan Koomen says "These improvements are much more than just upgrades - they are an investment in the wellbeing and connection of our community."
"Clubs like Hampton Park Bowls are the beating heart of our neighbourhoods. They bring people together across ages and backgrounds, foster friendships, and provide a sense of belonging. These facilities will ensure the club has a dedicated space to call its own for many years to come."
The $1.5 million project, which was delivered in partnership with Council and Sport and Recreation Victoria, includes an extended social area and servery, a new entrance, kitchen, office and meeting space, additional equipment storage, and two new canopies.
"As Casey grows, so too does the demand for high-quality and inclusive sporting facilities," Cr Koomen said.
"Council is committed to working with partners and local clubs to ensure our community has the spaces it needs to stay healthy, active and connected."
Hampton Park Bowls Club upgrade highlights Council's dedication to supporting local sport as an essential part of community life in one of Victoria's fastest-growing regions.
Council thanks Sport and Recreation Victoria for its support, and Hampton Park Bowls Club for their patience throughout the construction.
