Boy dies after crash at Moama

A boy has died after a motorcycle crash in the state's Murray River region yesterday.

About 3pm (Saturday 4 July 2020), an 11-year-old boy was riding a dirt bike on a property at Nineteen Mile Road, Moama, when it collided with a tree.

He was treated by Victoria Ambulance Paramedics and flown to Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne, where he later died.

Officers from Murray River Police District have commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

A report will be prepared for the Victorian Coroner.
