Global law firm Ashurst Perkins Coie announces the appointment of infrastructure finance lawyer Jenny McIvor as partner in the Global Loans practice, based in London, as the firm continues to expand its global finance capabilities.
Jenny specialises in infrastructure finance, advising sponsors, lenders and major corporates on acquisitions and refinancings. She has extensive experience across the full range of debt products, from bank lending and European institutional funding to US private placements, listed bonds and secured debt platforms, across sectors including regulated utilities, transport, telecommunications and renewables.
"I am pleased to welcome Jenny to our growing Global Loans team," said Mark Edwards, Head of Global Loans and Global Markets UK/US/ME, noting that her arrival follows that of Clint Dempsey in Dubai and a four-partner team in New York earlier this year, underscoring the firm's continued strategic growth of its global finance team. "Jenny's extensive experience across infrastructure finance and debt capital markets enhances our existing capabilities, allowing us to continue to drive value for our clients."
Laura Ho, infrastructure finance partner, added: "Energy and infrastructure is a key priority for the firm, and with sponsors among the most active buyers and sellers of infrastructure assets, demand for sophisticated financing advice continues to grow. Jenny is one of the most respected names in the infrastructure finance market, and her experience across the full range of debt products and the entire capital structure significantly strengthens our practice. I look forward to working closely with her on our clients' most complex cross-border financings and am delighted to welcome her to the team."
Jenny said: "I was attracted by Ashurst Perkins Coie's deep sector focus in energy and infrastructure, combined with the strength of its global platform. Its integrated approach across M&A, finance and projects enables us to advise infrastructure clients throughout the lifecycle of an asset and across the entire capital structure. I look forward to working with the team to build on these strengths and further grow the practice."
