Federal Member for Flynn, Colin Boyce was back in Biloela recently to announce a series of funding commitments, which will be delivered if the LNP is elected, to improve facilities and services across the Banana Shire.
Mr Boyce said while traveling the Flynn electorate, he has met with many community groups and discussed their needs and projects to benefit their volunteers and communities.
"With three years under my belt as the Federal Member for Flynn, I know what it takes to be an effective voice for our regions, and I will continue to work hard to represent their needs," Mr Boyce said.
"I've seen first-hand how groups such as the Taroom Cancer and Palliative Care Group support the families and friends of cancer patients in the small town of Taroom.
"If I can help by committing funding to upgrade these critical facilities, the benefit will reach the entire community, not just the volunteers who give their time to continue this vital service.
"In Wowan, the addition of disability facilities at the Showgrounds will allow all members of the community to be a part of the annual show, instead of being excluded by something as simple as a bathroom that they can't access.
"An elected LNP Government will provide funding for these projects to strengthen and support the families and communities in Flynn and the Banana Shire."
