Boys Charged For Sanctuary Lakes Carjacking

Police have charged two boys after an alleged carjacking in Sanctuary Lakes last night.

It's alleged the teenagers approached a stationary black Mercedes sedan on South Boulevard just before 11pm on 6 March.

They allegedly threatened the occupant, who was not injured, with a weapon before stealing the vehicle.

The pair were arrested a short time later in Truganina after they fled from the vehicle on foot.

The boys, aged 15 and 16, have been charged with aggravated carjacking, theft of motor vehicle, common law assault and unlawful assault with a weapon.

The Hoppers Crossing boys will appear at a children's court later today.
