Break and enter charges, Castle Hill

Police have charged two men following a break and enter at Castle Hill overnight.

Around 1.30am this morning, police were called to a Glamis Court address to a report of a break and enter.

Multiple police crews attended the scene including Townsville's newest Police Dog Uzi. It is only PD Uzi's second week on the job, and he competed his first successful operational, track locating two men in the vicinity of Hampton Court.

An 18-year-old man from Railway Estate has been charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle and entering a dwelling with intent by break at night in company.

An 18-year-old man from West End has been charged with entering a dwelling with intent by break at night in company and possessing a knife in public.

They were both due to appear in Townsville Magistrates Court today.
