Police are investigating a break-in and theft at a supermarket in West Richmond.
About 3.40am today (Friday 8 May), police were called to the store on Marion Road after reports that a group of men had forced their way into the store and assaulted a man inside the property.
The three suspects then stole a large amount of cigarettes and tobacco products before fleeing the scene in a white Holden sedan, registration S259BZY.
The victim suffered minor injuries.
Police are investigating links between this incident and another break-in at Blair Athol just before 4.30am today.
