Bridgewater Boulevard Playground Upgrade Finished

The playground at Bridgewater Boulevard Reserve has been upgraded as part of the City of Casey's Annual Playground Renewal Program, which refreshes ageing play spaces to meet modern safety, accessibility and play standards.

The new playground design was shaped by community feedback gathered through the Casey Conversations platform. Residents identified priorities including climbing equipment, swings, nature play and sensory elements, which have been incorporated into the final playground.

Mayor Stefan Koomen says "Thank you to the residents who took the time to share their feedback and ideas during the design process. This amazing upgrade aligns with the City of Casey Playground Strategy and Council's "Play for All" principles, ensuring the playground is accessible and enjoyable for children of different ages and abilities."

Kowan Ward Councillor Shane Taylor says, "Community input played an important role in creating a playground that reflects what local families wanted, and it's wonderful to see the upgraded space now ready to be enjoyed by children and families for many years to come."

As a local-level playground, the upgraded space now includes core play features such as swings, slides, rockers and climbing structures, providing a welcoming place for nearby families to enjoy short, frequent visits.

The completed upgrade enhances local open space in Berwick South, supporting the area's growing, family-focused community and providing a refreshed outdoor space for residents to enjoy.
