Brimbank appoints Warren Roberts as interim CEO

Warren Roberts has been appointed the interim CEO of Brimbank City Council following a special Council meeting on Tuesday 6 July.

Mr Roberts is an experienced CEO having most recently held the position at the City of Stonnington from 2009-2019.

Prior to being Stonnington CEO Mr Roberts held various senior leadership and management roles and he has extensive board experience.

Mr Roberts is an Emeritus Member of the Institute of Public Works Engineering Australia and a Fellow of LGPro and Engineers Australia.

He is also the Chairman and Trustee of the Municipal Engineering Foundation of Victoria, a position he has held since 2007.

Mr Roberts is stepping out of retirement to take up the position while a recruitment process takes place for the ongoing role.

The CEO position became vacant following the retirement of Helen Morrissey.

Mr Roberts will start in the role on 12 July 2021.
