Bring Thing Orchestra: Bayside

Little music makers are invited to get creative at the Bring A Thing Orchestra, a joyful, hands-on music experience for children aged five years and under, proudly hosted by Bayside Council as part of its Summer Foreshore Program.

This free, playful session encourages children to explore sound, rhythm and imagination. Young participants are invited to bring along a musical instrument - or a household item that makes a noise - to join in the fun, led by the acclaimed Splinter Orchestra. From shakers to saucepans, every "thing" becomes part of a lively orchestra where creativity takes centre stage.

Held outdoors in a relaxed foreshore setting, families are encouraged to bring water, a picnic rug and refreshments, along with suitable sun protection for both parents and children.

Places are strictly limited to 15 children aged 0-5 years, with each child accompanied by a parent, guardian or carer for the full session.

Starting Wednesday 4 February at 10am, the Bring A Thing Orchestra will run every Wednesday morning for six weeks at Depena Reserve, offering a wonderful opportunity for young children to discover the joy of making music together.
