Brisbane Child Abuse Charges Unearthed in Operation Victor Dialect

Detectives from Brisbane City Child Protection Investigation Unit (CPIU) have charged a 63-year-old man with more than 100 child sex offences as part of Operation Victor Dialect.

The operation was launched in October 2023 to investigate alleged offences that occurred between 1980 and 1991 in various locations across the Wide Bay Burnett and Capricornia regions, involving multiple children.

Yesterday, January 25, detectives arrested 63-year-old man at East Brisbane.

He has been charged with 96 counts of indecent treatment of girls under 16, eight counts of indecent assault on females, and one count of indecent assault.

He is due to appear at Brisbane Magistrates Court today, February 26.
