Budget 2019 Passed - Putting Territorians First

Budget 2019, which passed through Parliamenttoday, puts Territorians first by creating local jobs, delivering a saferTerritory and driving generational change.

Budget 2019 also shows that Governments plans are workingand that the economy is beginning to turn for the better as the Territory transitionsfrom the Inpex construction phase wind down.

It also starts delivering on Governments plan to Fix theTerritory Budget to address the Federal Governments brutal $500 million annualGST cuts and the $876 million deficit left by the train-wreck former CLPGovernment.

Key highlights of Budget 2019 include:

$16.6 million for the most generous homebuyerassistance in the country

$1.45 billion Infrastructure investmentto create local jobs

$62.8 million over two-years for tourismpackage Turbo2 (following the success of Turbo-charging 1).

Subsidies to keep saving Territory families $1,200 a year off their powerbills

$34 million to tackle alcohol abuse

Continue delivering of Labor Governments $1.1billion investment into remote housing
