The latest Australian Bureau of Statistics data shows Tasmania's building approvals are up 41 per cent when compared to June last year.
Tasmania has again outpaced the national average, which is sitting at 14 per cent over the same period.
Minister for Housing and Planning, Kerry Vincent, said through our Government's 2030 Strong Plan for Tasmania's Future, we're delivering on our ambitious housing agenda.
"We want to see more homes built for Tasmanians across the state, and we know supply is key to that," Minister Vincent said.
"Continuing to see these sort of figures is incredibly welcoming. These are more than just numbers; they're roofs over the heads of Tasmanians.
"Working with local government, supporting the private sector, and unlocking more land for housing is having an impact.
"41 per cent more dwellings approved is a huge rise year on year, and we're working to see it continue."
