The Marshall Liberal Government is driving a high performing vocational education and training (VET) sector in South Australia in partnership with registered training organisations across the State.
Minister for Innovation and Skills David Pisoni said the $1 million Building Capability Framework program announced last month offers a series of professional development events and activities to inspire excellence and best practice in training, educational leadership and assessment.
"As part of this framework, $400,000 is now available to support Building Capability Projects to assist the South Australian VET sector build its capability and capacity," he said.
Eligible training providers from today can apply for up to $30,000 in three project areas - Innovation, Development and Research.
"The Building Capability Projects aim to develop innovative training approaches for apprenticeships and traineeships, stimulate greater levels of research and development in the sector and build the capability of training providers to develop accredited courses," Minister Pisoni said.
"All learning and products developed within each of the projects will contribute to building capability across the entire VET market.
"This is about partnering with the sector, building collaboration and sharing the learnings and deliverables."
The Department for Innovation and Skills will hold an information session for interested applicants on Monday 8 April.
"The information session will offer an opportunity to ask questions about the projects, clarify any aspects of the guidelines and provide the chance to connect with project consultants, to test ideas and collaborate," Minister Pisoni said
"Attendance is strongly encouraged but is not a prerequisite to be eligible to apply."
Applications close on Tuesday 30 April 2019.
