Building fire – Marrickville

A crime scene has been established following a fire at a business in Marrickville early this morning.

About 4.15am (Thursday 6 May 2021), emergency services were called to a business on Marrickville Road, following reports of a fire.

Fire & Rescue NSW attended and extinguished the blaze. The building suffered minor fire and water damage.

The premises was unoccupied at the time and there have been no reports of injury.

Officers from Inner West Police Area Command established a crime scene, which will be forensically examined.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.
