Bullock Island Bridge replacement - closure to pedestrians

Work on the Bullock Island Bridge Replacement Project in Lakes Entrance is now underway.

The bridge will be replaced in two stages, with one lane remaining open to allow continued vehicle access to Bullock Island.

However, from Monday, August 2 until late 2021, pedestrians will not be able to use the bridge to access Bullock Island due to space limitations and worksite hazards.

Council apologises for any inconvenience caused.

The completed bridge, being built by Jarvis Norwood Constructions, will comprise a two-way roadway with improved load capacity, shared cycle and pedestrian paths and LED lighting.

Funding of $5 million has been provided by the Federal Government's Victorian Infrastructure Investment Program.
