Police have charged a man following a burglary with violence in Cooroibah on 20 May.
Around 8.25pm, it is alleged that the man attended a Pines Avenue address and threatened a male resident with a firearm.
A struggle ensued during which the resident sustained minor injuries, before the man allegedly fled the scene on foot.
He was arrested at 8.50pm outside a property on Morning Glory Drive and taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital for treatment of a pre-existing injury.
The firearm was located in a bush outside a different property on Morning Glory Drive.
The 51-year-old male resident was transported to Nambour General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and has since been discharged.
A 22-year-old man was charged with one count each of enter dwelling with intent whilst armed, assaults occasioning bodily harm whilst armed, possess thing intended for use in connection with offence under 419/421 of the Criminal Code prior to conviction of crime relating to property, unlawful possession of weapons category H - firearm used in indictable offence, fail to properly dispose of needle and syringe, trespass - unlawfully enter or remain in dwelling or yard, and authority required to possess explosive.
He is expected to face Maroochydore Magistrates Court tomorrow, 29 May.
