Tasmania's Central Highlands will be in the spotlight this November as Highlands BushFest returns, attracting outdoor enthusiasts and showcasing the region's natural beauty and unique experiences.
Minister for Tourism, Hospitality and Events, Roger Jaensch, said regional events such as the Highlands BushFest played an important role in encouraging visitors to discover new parts of Tasmania while supporting local communities and businesses.
"Highlands BushFest is a great opportunity to showcase everything the Central Highlands has to offer, from its spectacular landscapes to its outstanding fishing, camping and outdoor adventures," Minister Jaensch said.
"We want more visitors to explore beyond the main touring routes, discover our regions and experience the unique attractions that make Tasmania such a special place to visit.
"Through our 2030 Strong Plan for Tasmania's Future, we are backing Tasmania's visitor economy and helping to encourage more visitors to get off the beaten track and discover the incredible experiences on offer across regional Tasmania."
Almost 7,000 people attended BushFest in 2025, with the event also receiving a Highly Commended Award in the Local Government Association of Tasmania Excellence Awards for its contribution to regional tourism, economic development and community engagement.
This year's event will feature hands-on demonstrations, practical workshops, expert presenters, quality exhibitors, live entertainment, and local food stalls.
Highlands BushFest runs from 21 to 22 November 2026 in the Central Highlands.
