Business turnover rose 0.1 per cent in June 2025, according to seasonally adjusted figures released today by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS).
Robert Ewing, ABS head of business statistics, said: 'The Arts and recreation services industry had the largest rise, up 3.5 per cent. This is a rebound from its 4.7 per cent fall last month.
'Another notable rise was in the Mining industry, which went up 2.1 per cent. Exports were behind this increase, with Coal mining up 3.7 per cent, and Metal ore mining up 2.7 per cent.
'At the same time, we saw a drop of 2.2 per cent in Other services. Professional, scientific and technical services was also down 2.0 per cent,' Mr Ewing said.

Business turnover was 2.9 per cent higher than in June 2024, with 11 of the 13 industries reporting rises over the year.
The industries that saw the largest annual rises were Manufacturing (+7.8 per cent), and Transport, postal and warehousing (+5.9 per cent).
Meanwhile, the Mining industry (-2.1 per cent) and Professional, scientific and technical services (-0.1 per cent) saw annual falls.
In trend terms, the 13-industry aggregate showed a 0.1 per cent rise in business turnover in June.
