Since its launch in 2019, Unlock Camden has evolved into a premier heritage event, initiated by Council's Heritage Advisory Committee as part of NSW History Week. The program promotes community storytelling, particularly through the #MyCamdenStory initiative, and fosters intergenerational pride across Camden.

Mayor of Camden, Cr Ashleigh Cagney, said Unlock Camden was one of her favourite events in Council's calendar.

"It truly captures the spirit of our community and our incredible history," she said

"From the moment you step into the historic precinct, you can feel the stories of our past coming alive. It's a beautiful reminder of what makes Camden so special - our heritage, our people and our shared pride in calling this place home.

"I encourage everyone to join us on Sunday 6 September to enjoy a day of history, creativity and connection. I'll see you there!"
