Camden Seeks Public Input on Advocacy Strategy

Camden Council is inviting the community to have their say on the Draft Camden Advocacy Strategy 2025-29, which is now on public exhibition.

Designed to guide Camden's long-term, coordinated approach to securing critical State and Federal investment, the draft strategy sets a clear vision for supporting the needs of one of Australia's fastest-growing communities.

The draft strategy outlines four key advocacy pillars that will shape Camden's future, including:

· Transformative Camden, focused on the infrastructure needed to support rapid growth;

· Liveable Camden, which prioritises housing, health and education;

· Resilient and Sustainable Camden, aimed at climate adaptation and environmental protection; and

· Vibrant Camden, dedicated to culture, tourism and enhancing public spaces.

Mayor of Camden, Cr Therese Fedeli, urged residents to share their opinions, saying community insight will play an important role in ensuring the strategy reflects local priorities.

"Camden is one of the fastest growing local government areas in the country," she said.

"While this is exciting and presents lots of terrific opportunities, we need the right infrastructure and services in place to support that growth.

"Strong advocacy is so important in making sure we're perfectly positioned for all opportunities that come our way.

The draft strategy is on public exhibition until 9am on Wednesday 11 February 2026.
