Campaspe Events Strategy 2026-31 Seeks Public Input

Campaspe Shire Council's draft Campaspe Festivals & Events Strategy 2026-2031 has opened for comment.

The draft strategy was developed following community consultation in 2024-25 and outlines social, cultural, economic, and environmental goals for festivals and events within Campaspe Shire that align with the broader aims of Council and the community.

Campaspe Shire Mayor Cr Daniel Mackrell said the draft strategy showed the way forward for the development and delivery of a diverse offering of festivals and events for the shire, and he encouraged community members to review the draft and provide their input.

"Festivals and events are a critical component of the tourism industry in our shire and bring enormous benefits not only economically but also for our community members' wellbeing - celebrating diversity, heritage and culture, and fostering a sense of belonging and pride in our shire and what it can offer residents and visitors alike," he said.

"Offering the opportunity for local creatives to showcase their skills while at the same time stimulating the local economy through tourism, hospitality and retail, our festivals and events help to make Campaspe Shire a fantastic place to live or visit."

You can read the draft strategy and submit feedback online at www.campaspe.vic.gov.au/NowOpen or in person at any of Council's customer service centres.

Submissions close on Sunday, 15 March 2026.
