Canada Bay to Award $200K+ to Community Groups

The City of Canada Bay has opened it’s 2023-24 round of Community Funding Programs.

The programs will see thousands of dollars awarded to local community groups and initiatives.

“We are committed to supporting projects, events and organisations that celebrate diversity, showcase creativity, recognise sporting achievements, and benefit the community,” City of Canada Bay Mayor Angelo Tsirekas said.

“Our Community Funding Programs provide much-needed funding to community groups to undertake projects. I encourage local groups to see what we have on offer and let us help bring their project or initiative to life.”

Over $200,000 of funding will be available through the following programs:

  • Community Grants Program – providing support for local not-for-profit organisations and projects which benefit local residents
  • Community Sponsorship Program – offering cash or in-kind support to a broad range of events which benefit the community
  • Small Environmental Grants for Schools – supporting sustainability projects in schools and school communities.

Applications for the 2023-24 Community Funding Programs are open until Friday, 28 April 2023.
