Cannabis crops stalled in Stawell

Ararat Crime Investigation Unit detectives have arrested two men after locating an alleged cannabis setup in Stawell last night (9 November), Victoria Police say.

Detectives and uniform officers executed a search warrant at a Byrne Street residence about 7pm, allegedly discovering a hydroponic crop containing about 600 cannabis plants.

A 41-year-old Springvale man and 55-year-old Noble Park man were arrested at the scene.

Both have been charged with cultivate a commercial quantity of cannabis and remanded to appear at Ararat Magistrates’ Court on Monday 12 November.
