Car Crashes Into Christies Beach Servo

A car crashed through the front doors of a southern suburbs petrol station overnight.

Emergency services were called to the servo on Dyson Road, Christies Beach just after 10.30pm on Sunday 22 March by reports a car had crashed into the entrance to the building.

Fortunately, there were no injuries. The collision caused substantial damage to the front of the store.

The driver, a 48-year-old Christies Downs woman, was reported for driving unregistered, uninsured and aggravated driving without due care. She was taken to hospital for assessment and will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.

Her SUV was towed from the scene and impounded.
