Car crashes into side of house at Berkeley

Police are investigating after a car crashed into a house south of Wollongong.

About 2.30pm (Saturday 2 November 2019), officers from Lake Illawarra Police District arrived to find a Mitsubishi Magna sedan had crashed into the side of a house on Goolana Street, Berkeley.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the 34-year-old male driver for minor head injuries.

He was transferred to Wollongong Hospital in a stable condition, as well as mandatory blood and urine testing.

His 10-year-old female passenger was uninjured but was transferred to Wollongong Hospital as a precaution.

The two people inside the house were not injured.

There is significant damage to the house.

Investigations into the crash are underway.
