Traffic Crash Appeals, South Brisbane

Police investigating two traffic crashes in the South Brisbane region on Wednesday, 30 September, are appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam vision to come forward.

At 6.25pm, police were called to reports a 30-year-old Acacia Ridge man had been struck by a blue Volkswagen Golf at the intersection of Beaudesert Road and Paradise Road in Acacia Ridge.

The man was declared deceased at the scene.

The driver and sole occupant of the Volkswagen, a 50-year-old Acacia Ridge man, is assisting police.

Then, shortly after 8:15pm, a motorbike and a truck were involved in a collision at a service station on Edgar Street and Stanley Street East in East Brisbane.

The rider of the motorbike, a man, and his pillion passenger, a woman, both sustained serious injuries and were transported to hospital.

The driver of the truck, a 22-year-old Logan Reserve man, is assisting police.

Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash are ongoing.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen a man walking on Beaudesert Road around 6:15pm or a black motorbike travelling on Stanley Street prior to Edgar Street at approximately 8:10pm to contact police.
