Car fire at Plympton unit block, South Australia

Police are investigating after a car was set alight at a unit block at Plympton overnight.

Police and fire crews responded to reports of a car on fire at Anzac Highway, Plympton about 1.45am on Sunday 29 May. The car was parked against the wall of a multi-storey unit block and was fully engulfed in flames.

The fire was extinguished by MFS crews but two vehicles on either side of the car were also damaged by heat.

The blue Toyota had been stolen from a Goodwood address on 5 May and parked at the units a few days ago. All four wheels and rims had been removed from the car before it was torched.
