Cardinia Plans Trythall St. Sale in Beaconsfield

Cardinia Shire Council is proposing to discontinue the 375m2 of unused section of Trythall Street, Beaconsfield.

This proposal is in accordance with section 206 and Schedule 10 Clause 3 of the Local Government Act 1989 and section 114 of the Local Government Act 2020.

If discontinued, Council proposes to sell the land to the adjoining property owner, the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA), by private treaty in accordance with Council's policies and subject to the terms and conditions outlined in the Public Notice.

Council is inviting submissions on this proposal until 5pm, Monday 25 August 2025, in accordance with section 223 of the Local Government Act 1989 and as part of Council's Community Engagement process.

Following consideration of any and all submissions and compliance with Council's Community Engagement Policy, Council will decide to discontinue and sell the road, discontinue and sell part of the road, or not to discontinue and sell the road.
