Careless Driving Charge, Strathpine

The Burpengary Forensic Crash Unit has charged a 77-year-old man after investigations into a serious two-vehicle crash in Strathpine on March 5.

Police were called to the intersection of Buckby Street and Bells Pocket Road around 11.20am after a collision between a Kawasaki motorbike and a Mazda BT-50.

The motorbike rider, a 39-year-old Two Mile man, was transported to hospital with serious injuries to his right leg.

A 77-year-old Lawnton man has been charged with one count of drive without due care and attention causing grievous bodily harm.

He is due to appear in Pine Rivers Magistrates Court on June 10.
