Macedon Ranges Shire Council is inviting local carers to embrace their inner Picasso at a free artistic workshop at Dromkeen Gallery in Riddells Creek on Friday 25 November from 10.30am−2.30pm.

The workshop will provide a fun, creative outlet for carers whilst allowing them to connect with other local carers over a grazing plate. Facilitators from Pinot and Picasso will guide participants in creating an individual artwork piece.

Director Community, Maria Weiss, said the event was a great opportunity for carers to take some time out for themselves and connect with others socially.

"We know the caring role can be very difficult at times and it's important carers are well supported and have opportunities to look after their own wellbeing. This workshop will provide an opportunity for them to take some time out from their caring role, have a bit of fun, and meet other carers in the community," she said.

This collaborative event is being held in partnership with the Bendigo Health carer support services team.

Bookings are essential. For information and to register contact Abbey on 5422 0262 or register online
