Carinity Kepnock Grove

A fully vaccinated employee at the Carinity Kepnock Grove aged care community in Bundaberg has tested positive for COVID-19. A further five staff, who attended the same venue, have been classified as close contacts and are isolating awaiting the results of COVID-19 tests.

In conjunction with the Public Health Unit, COVID-19 response procedures including ceasing non-essential visits and limiting resident movement throughout the community have been enacted. Residents are being closely monitored for any COVID-19 symptoms.

All residents will undergo COVID-19 testing under the direction of Queensland Health.

Staff will continue providing care to residents using full personal protective equipment (PPE). Any staff member that displays symptoms of the virus will cease their shift immediately.

Carinity's number one priority is providing a safe home for our residents and a safe workplace for our team. 100% of the staff at Kepnock Grove aged care community are double vaccinated and only 12 residents have elected not to have the vaccine.

We will provide regular updates to the families of residents and Carinity staff until we are confident the COVID-19 risk has been eliminated within the Carinity Kepnock Grove community.
