CCTV appeal after armed robbery at Lake Illawarra

Police have released CCTV as they appeal for public information after an armed robbery in Lake Illawarra.

Detectives have been told about 1pm on Tuesday 18 April 2023, two men armed with knives entered a business on Kemblawarra Street, Warrawong, where they allegedly assaulted an employee and stole a sum of cash.

The two men fled the scene in a white Audi A3, which was reported stolen.

A white Mitsubishi Magna was also seen leaving the location.

Officers attached to Lake Illawarra Police District were notified and commenced an investigation.

As inquiries continue, police have released CCTV footage of the vehicles and wish to speak with the passengers who police believe can assist with their inquiries.

Investigations are ongoing.
