CCTV images released following indecent assault in Wentworthville

Police have released CCTV images following an indecent assault at Wentworthville earlier this year, NSW Police say.

Just before 4.30pm on Sunday 29 July 2018, a 27-year-old woman was using a public toilet on The Kingsway, when she was approached by a man.

The man committed an act of indecency, before attempting to grab the woman. He then left the area and was last seen heading toward Wentworthville Railway Station.

Officers from Cumberland Police Area Command were notified of the incident and conducted an extensive search of the area; however, the man was not located.

An investigation was launched and detectives have now released CCTV images of a man they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.

The man depicted in the image is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his 40s, about 170cm tall, with a large build, short grey hair and clean shaven.

He is depicted as wearing black pants, a dark grey jumper and black shoes.

Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
