CCTV Released in Coffs Harbour Assault Probe

Detectives have released CCTV footage as an investigation continues into the suspected serious assault of a man at Toormina earlier this year.

About 5.40am on Monday 2 February 2026, emergency services were called to Anderson Street, near Hobbs Crescent, at Toormina, after a seriously injured man was located by a member of the public.

The man was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics for a significant head injury before being taken to Coffs Harbour Hospital for treatment.

The 27-year-old man remains in hospital undergoing treatment for his injuries.

Coffs Harbour Detectives established Strike Force Larsson to investigate the incident and suspected assault of the man.

Detectives have now released CCTV footage depicting a man and woman walking through a reserve between Anderson Street and Courtney Place, Toormina, about 5.10am on Monday 2 February 2026.

Police wish to speak with the man and woman who might be able to assist investigators with their inquiries.

Investigators are also continuing inquiries to locate the weapon suspected of being used, believed to be a baseball bat or similar.
