Central Coast virtual jobs fair connects job seekers with employers

A virtual jobs fair showcasing employment opportunities around the Central Coast of New South Wales will be held on Wednesday 30 September 2020.

The Central Coast Virtual Jobs Fair, a partnership between the Australian Government and the Central Coast Economy Taskforce, will bring together job seekers and local businesses to promote job opportunities available in the region.

Minister for Employment, Skills, Small and Family Business, Senator the Hon Michaelia Cash, said the virtual jobs fair provides opportunities for people in the Central Coast of NSW who are looking for work to interact online with employers and employment service providers.

"As we see COVID-19 restrictions ease, the Government is committed to connecting job seekers with businesses looking to hire," Minister Cash said.

"The Australian Government has held jobs fairs in many locations around Australia with more than 38,600 people attending these events over the past two years.

Federal Member for Robertson, Lucy Wicks MP, said the Central Coast Virtual Jobs Fair is essential for anyone who wants to connect with businesses that are recruiting.

"I encourage local job seekers to take advantage of the range of information that will be available online," Ms Wicks said.

"The Central Coast Virtual Jobs Fair will provide job seekers with information including how to get job read, improve their resume and their employment opportunities."

The Central Coast Virtual Jobs Fair is a free online event from 9.30 am to 1.30 pm on Wednesday 30 September 2020.

Registrations are required for the event via www.employment.gov.au/CentralCoastVJF.
