Charge after serious crash in Breton Bay, WA

Major Crash investigators have charged a 31 year old Malaysian man as a result of their investigation into a serious crash which occurred in Breton Bay near Lancelin on Sunday 16 April 2017.

It is alleged about 1:20pm, a Toyota Corolla sedan driven by a 31 year old man collided with a Mazda hatchback driven by a 52 year old man on Indian Ocean Drive. The collision caused the Mazda to roll over several times, WA Police say.

There were two passengers in the Toyota and three passengers in the Mazda.

A 31 year old man received serious injuries and he along with two other people were airlifted to Royal Perth Hospital. The other occupants of the vehicles were taken to the Joondalup Health Campus.

The 31 year old driver of the Toyota Corolla has been charged with:-

•Six counts of Careless Driving Occasioning Grievous Bodily Harm

He is due to appear before the Joondalup Magistrates Court today, 21 April 2017.
