Charges after indecent acts towards Hunter teens, NSW

A man will face court tomorrow over a number of alleged child approaches in the Cardiff and Edgeworth areas, NSW Police say.

Police will allege that in separate incidents between August 2017 and November 2017, a man approached six girls, aged between 13 and 16 years, and committed an indecent act towards the students.

Police from Lake Macquarie Local Area Command conducted extensive inquiries and today arrested a 46-year-old man at Cardiff.

That man has been charged with eight counts of commit act of indecency towards another person, and one count of wilful and obscene exposure.

The man, from Thornton, was refused bail and will appear in Toronto Local Court tomorrow (Friday 8 December 2017).
