Charges following Tanwood bus rollover

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man following a fatal bus rollover in Tanwood last year, Victoria Police say.

The bus was travelling along the Sunraysia Highway near Moonambel on October 14 when it left the road and rolled down an embankment.

A 71-year-old Creswick woman died at the scene while an 87-year-old Beaufort woman died a week later.

A 70-year-old Sebastopol man was yesterday charged with two counts of dangerous driving causing death, six counts of dangerous driving causing serious injury and careless driving.

He was bailed to appear at Ballarat Magistrates’ Court on 2 July.
