This Easter is the perfect opportunity to explore the wonders of Queensland's national parks.
Minister for Environment Leeanne Enoch said Queensland was one of the most naturally diverse places in the world, and this Easter was the perfect opportunity to go exploring.
"Most people know Queensland is a truly beautiful place, home to five World Heritage Areas and more than 1300 national parks, marine parks, state forests and other protected areas," Ms Enoch said.
"It is also the Year of Outback Tourism, and it is the perfect time to explore our parks and forests that are in Queensland's beautiful outback.
"I know Easter is traditionally a busy time in Queensland's national parks and state forests, and I encourage campers to book online to avoid missing out on their preferred camp site.
"Some favourite camping areas, like Bribie Island, Moreton Island and Cooloola, are already fully booked over Easter, but with 485 camping areas to choose from across Queensland, there are still some options available."
Minister Enoch said there was still the opportunity for Queenslanders to share the memories in our state's unique parks and forests with the #LifesBestMoments campaign.
"Life's Best Moments is about "thinking outside" and encouraging Queenslanders to get active and do things like hiking, mountain biking, kayaking and snorkelling, or simply taking in the beauty that is Queensland's outdoors," she said.
