Child abuse material seized, man charged - South Coast

A man will appear in court today charged with allegedly possessing child abuse material on the state's South Coast.

Officers from South Coast Police District attended a home in Merimbula about 2.30pm yesterday (Tuesday 18 February 2020) and allegedly located child exploitation material on the man's device, which was seized for forensic examination.

The 48-year-old man was arrested and taken to Bega Police Station, where he was charged with possess child abuse material.

He was refused bail to appear before Bega Local Court today (Wednesday 19 February 2020).
