China e-bike costs impact UK consumers and sellers

The Trade Remedies Authority (TRA) has today launched a survey to understand any economic impact of the tariffs paid on e-bikes imported from China. We encourage retailers and consumers with an interest in e-bikes to take part. Your feedback will allow us to review and set a fairer tariff if needed. This may change the price we all pay for imported e-bikes in the future.

Tariffs on e-bikes imported from China range from 18.8% to 79.3%.

We want to gather feedback from you if you are an e-bike retailer or a direct consumer.

If you are a UK producer or importer of e-bikes please submit a separate questionnaire via the Trade Remedies Service (TRS).

Our consumer survey is anonymous. If you are a business, the TRA may get in contact to clarify information and for transparency we will publish any evidence provided.

The survey will be open from 14 July 2023 to 27 August 2023. To fill out the survey click here.
